"JACOB MESSENGER" - Jack Mcintyre finds himself at the top of a lighthouse staring at a body hanging from the light. As it slowly turns we realize that Jack is staring at himself as he dies. Then, a mysterious shadow appears. Jacob Messenger is there to take Jack through his past to relive the week that changed his life. Jacob Messenger raises a knife and cuts Jack free from the noose. Jack crashes to the floor below and finds himself a young man reliving the very week where it all changed. On top of that, the mysterious Jacob Messenger, has taken a room at the boarding house run by Jack's mother. Jack will relive the week and change his life, only to have to confront his suicide in the end.
"HOUR OF THE GUN" - 1996. US Marine Jake Hustle Rashford, has been assigned to the UN peacekeeping force charged with delivering humanitarian aid into Sarajevo. JR 'Hustle' is using his position to smuggle guns and cigarettes in and out of the country.
Today finds JR and fellow Marine Kents, making their way through the streets with a truck of smuggled cigarettes. Suddenly, in the street is a girl. She races into the path of JR's clearly identified UN truck. Several men race from the van to corral the runaway. JR and fellow Marine Kents intervene. In the fight, one of the kidnappers, a prominent mobster, is dead. Turns out our heroes killed the wrong made man. Sofia's most powerful mobster, Yuri Specktor, wants vengeance. He finds JR, Kents and the young girls saved.
They killed his brother. An ultimatum proposed. Kill or be killed.
Hour of the Gun is just that, the one hour timeframe given to Charlie Hustle to kill Specktor's rival mob boss in order to atone for his "good deed". Spektor knows that the odds of Charlie achieving the task are nonexistent.But,
